Stop the Harm

Look out of the window,

and what do you see?

A street filled with rubbish,

and a very smoky sky.

The days are getting hotter,

not because it is summer,

but because of global warming.

The coral here is all dying,

do you know why?

It's not because of old age,

but because the waters are heating up.

The smoky air i breathe in,

not one smell of fresh country air.

The pollution is getting worse,

day by day.

The rushing of the cars,

and the smoke from the factories.

People littering,

and burning of fossil fuels.

IT MUST ALL BE STOPPED!

I am serious about this, you know,

we must do something about it.

Even a little small thing can help,

like putting your rubbish into the bin.

Too True, Too Often

Too often we don't realize
What we have until it is gone
Too often we wait too late to say
"I'm sorry - I was wrong."

 

Sometimes it seems we hurt the ones
We hold dearest to our hearts
And we allow foolish things
To tear our lives apart.

 

Far too many times we let
Unimportant things into our minds
And then it's usually too late
To see what made us blind.

 

So be sure that you let people know
How much they mean to you
Take that time to say the words
Before your time is through.

 

Be sure that you appreciate
Everything you've got
And be thankful for the little things
in life that mean a lot.
